The ForestClimateSummit 2022

Climate crisis, bark beetles, monocultures & intensive use are taking their toll on Germany's forests. The handling of the forest and the resource wood urgently needs to change. The WaldKlimaGipfel (ForestClimateSummit) brings together science, politics and NGOs.

Summer 2022: Europe is on fire. Last year's floods were followed by a drought with devastating consequences for people and nature. By now at the latest, it should be clear: Time is running out. We can still change something, so we want to fight together for a better and more livable future. That's why we discussed possible solutions to the crisis with representatives from science, politics, environmental associations, culture, business and many more on October 4 and 5, 2022. Current research shows how quickly nature and forests can recover if we only let them. Since we want to make the knowledge available to all citizens, we broadcast the event free of charge in a livestream, which can still be accessed. We look back on two stimulating and informative days!

Sincerely,
