Learn to perceive the forest in a new way
Mighty beech trees, the rhythmic tapping of the black woodpecker, and oak trunks covered in mosses and lichens testify that parts of the Wershofen Forest can once again become primeval forest. Together with nature conservation and landscape ecologist Patrick, we experience parts of this emerging wilderness with all our senses.
How do we perceive the forest when we rely entirely on our senses of hearing and touch? How does our perspective change when we observe the forest from the perspective of its inhabitants? The focus is clearly on conscious experience. Astonishing discoveries from science and research will accompany us again and again. For example, why is it good for us when tree communication stimulates our killer cells, and what amazing senses can plants boast?
For a change of perspective, we'll leave the beaten track and venture cross-country into the forest. Of course, our sense of taste won't be neglected either. Well protected by the dense canopy of towering beech trees, we'll enjoy a vegan lunch together in the forest.
At the end of this exciting hike, our perception of the forest and all its inhabitants will certainly be different.
