Beginner's seminar: Discover the fascinating world of birds
Discover the fascinating world of birds and delve into the colorful diversity of the bird world in this multi-day ornithology seminar. In our practice-oriented workshop, you will learn everything you need to know about birds and birdwatching. With biologist Jonas Weinand, you will explore various landscapes and habitats and learn about the importance of nature conservation. We will focus on native bird species, bird calls, and the behavior and body language of these fascinating creatures. You will find answers to questions such as: How can I identify birds based on their call and silhouette? What significance do birds have for ecosystems? And how can I practice bird conservation myself? The seminar is aimed at beginners in ornithology and offers the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills while meeting like-minded people. Take the opportunity to learn more about the fascinating world of birds in a friendly and supportive environment.
By arrangement, the group can arrange a trip to a birdwatching area (carpooling in your own car). We look forward to an exciting time with you and the birds!
Your course highlights:

During the seminar weekend, you will create your own bird species list , which you can take home after the weekend as a lasting souvenir .

After the seminar weekend, you can join the group "Birdwatchers" on our online platform (Wald-Lernen.de) with the course leader Jonas and other course graduates and share all your questions and discoveries and thus continue to hone your skills and abilities and learn even after the course.

Seminar times
- Friday: 2-6 p.m. including cake (meeting, introduction and excursion with initial identification exercises around Wershofen)
- Saturday: 8am-3pm including lunch (excursion (carpooling in your own car) to a selected bird sanctuary)
- Sunday: 9am-2pm including lunch (excursion focusing on forest birds in Wershofen (UrwaldProjekt)

Wir empfehlen ein Mindestalter von 18 Jahren.
Ein Fernglas und, falls vorhanden, ein Spektiv. Falls vorhanden, bitte mitbringen: "Der Kosmos-Vogelführer" von Svensson, Mullarney, Zetterström oder "Was fliegt denn da?“ von Barthel, Dougalis. Leihweise steht "Was fliegt denn da?" für das Seminar bei uns zur Verfügung.
